COME, HOLY SPIRIT

1Come, Holy Spirit, come,
With energy divine,
And on this earthly temple shine,
Till its frail walls declare
The brightness of thy dwelling there.

2Come, Holy Spirit, come,
With sanctifying power,
And bless this consecrated hour;
Thou who dost like the wind
In thine appearing, unconfined.

3Come, Holy Spirit, come,
With thy celestial fire,
Kindle in every heart desire
That it may worthily show
The sacred pledge we here bestow.

4Come, Holy Spirit, come,
Dwell in this temple here,
Make it thy home from year to year,
Thy presence may each stone
Throughout its frame make known.
