HOW SWEET!

1How sweet it is this eve-ning, The peace of Je-sus o'er us,
The love of God sur-round-ing, The Ho-ly Spir-it near us;
To rest our souls in thought of thee, And feel thy love and sweet re-pose,
For thou art light and life to me, And more than all the world be-stows.

2How sweet to know that Je-sus, Our pre-cious Lord and Sav-ior,
Is wait-ing to re-ceive us, With his e-ter-nal fa-vor;
That when this earth-ly pil-grim-age, And all its cares shall end,
We'll dwell with him through-out the age, Our dear-est, best-est Friend.
