Firm as a Rock

1Firm as a rock thy truth shall stand, When rolling years shall cease to move;
When elements shall melt away, Thy truth and mercy shall not move.

2Firm as a rock thy truth remains, To guard thy children's happy souls;
When tyrants rage, and hell assails, Thy truth the raging foe controls.

3Firm as a rock thy promise stands, Though heaven and earth away should flee;
Thy promise all support demands, And finds support, O Lord, in thee.
