Christ in Song 564
THOUGH NATURE WEEPS
1Though nature weeps o'er her children sleeping,
The church triumphant for joy,
For death is but the golden gate
Which leads to endless joy.
2The living know that weary sorrow,
Of mortal flesh at dissolution;
Yet in our hearty tears of,
We find the sweet consolation.
3Then let me learn, the word of breath;
God's purpose cannot fail;
We'll all be bound again,
No storm can death assail.
4For death from life, the soul of breath,
God's purpose cannot fail;
Our loved ones have peace and rest,
Beyond the gloomy veil.
