O Lord of Life

1O Lord of life, where'er they be,
Safe in Thine own eternity,
Our dead are living unto Thee,
Alleluia!

2Released from earthly toil and strife,
With Thee is hidden still their life,
Secure in everlasting life,
Alleluia!

3Thine are they, life, in death, in life,
In Thee they rest from earthly strife,
With Thee, through Thee, eternal life,
Alleluia!

4Thou gavest them, Thou tak'st away,
But love divine doth ever stay;
They live in Thee from day to day,
Alleluia!
