Sweetly the Holy Hymn

1Sweetly the holy hymn
Breaks on the morning air;
Before the world with smoke is dim,
We meet to offer prayer.

2Holy, holy, holy,
To the great One in Three!
Holy, holy, holy,
Merciful and mighty,
God in three Persons,
Blessed Trinity!

3The gladsome songs we bring
From hearts with love o'erflowing,
To Thee, our Savior King,
Our grateful praise bestowing.

4So may our lives express
The beauty of Thy holiness,
Till in the realms of endless day
We join the angel choir above.
