1FATHER, I dare believe
Thou needful and true,
Thou canst thy grace receive ;
My fallen soul renew.

2Come, and my heart inspire
And bid my heart be clean ;
An end of all my sin,
An end of all my sin.

3While at the mercy-seat,
Jesus, thy grace bestow ;
Now by all-cleansing blood,
And I am white as snow.

4I cannot wash my heart,
But by believing thee,
And waiting for thy blood I impart
The spotless purity.
