Blest Saviour, we thy call obey

Blest Saviour, we thy call obey, Not of constraint, but with delight, Thy servants hither come to-day, To honor thine appointed rite.

With faith since thy name we own, The Spirit's cleansing power confess; O Saviour, from thy mercy throne, Confirm the covenant of thy grace!

How blest the vow we here record! How blest the grace we now receive! Lord,—be one with Christ our Lord, And live for holiness to live.

Thus through the emblematic grave The glorious, suffering Saviour trod; Be it our pattern—through the wave We follow the blest Son of God.
