Hail, glorious day! ere long to dawn

Studio

1Hail, glorious day! ere long to dawn, And set at rest our hopes: O glorious morn! the trump comes forth, With shouts of victory.

2And when my Saviour shall appear, If in the grave I lie, All nature shall come forth in life, And live, no more to die.

3I shall arise in that bright day— In death, my weary eyes. In that bright morn, my Lord to see, And meet him in the skies.

4And in that resurrection morn I shall his face behold; Th thou my Lord to me will give The starry crown of gold.
