We know he must be here

We know he must be here, If this vile house of clay, This tabernacle, suit below, In ruinous decay;

We know he must be here, Not made with mortal hands; And firm as our Redeemer's love That heavenly fabric stands.

Full oft we have beheld And hope the restless strife, All meekly to be swallowed up Of everlasting life.

Lord, we are filled with thee In perfect holiness, And rise prepared thy face to see, Thy bright, unclouded face.

Then bring us home to thee, Who hast the earnest given; And then triumphantly come down, And take us up to Heaven.
