Hymn 459
1HASTE, my dull soul, arise—
Shake off thy care ;
Lo ! in the eastern skies
Mighty in prayer.
Christ, he has gone before,
Count all thy sufferings o'er ;
Set all thy burden by ;
Jesus is there !
2Saints, for the marriage feast,
Robe and prepare ;
Holy must be each guest—
Jesus is there !
Saints, wear your victory palms,
Chant your celestial psalms,
Bride of the Lamb, thy charms,
Oh ! let me wear.
3Heaven's bliss is perfect, pure—
Jesus is there !
Heaven's joys for evermore—
Thou art its heir.
What makes its music sweet,
What makes its joys complete,
Then we our friends shall greet—
Jesus is there.
