Hymns for Second Advent Believers 69
Jerusalem
1JERUSALEM, my happy home,
O, how I long for thee!
When will my sorrows have an end,
Thy joys when shall I see?
RefrainWe're marching to Immanuel's ground,
We soon shall hear the trumpet sound,
And then we shall our Jesus meet,
And never, never part again, &c.
2Thy walls are all of precious stone,
Most glorious to behold;
Thy gates are richly set with pearl,
Thy streets are paved with gold.
3Thy garden and thy pleasant walks
My study long have been;
Such dazzling views by human sight
Have never yet been seen.
4Lord, help us by thy mighty grace;
To keep in view the prize,
Till thou dost come to take us home
To that blest paradise.
5When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun.
