Kingdom of God

1Great God, whose universal sway
All heaven reveres, all worlds obey,
Now make the Savior's glory known,
Extend his power, exalt his throne.

2Thy sceptre well becomes his hand,
Angels submit to his commands;
His justice shall protect the poor,
And pride and rage prevail no more.

3With power he vindicates the just,
And treads th' oppressor in the dust;
His righteous government shall last,
Till days, and years, and time be past.
