Rejoice! The Lord is King

1Rejoice! the Lord is King!
Your Lord and King adore;
Ye ransomed saints, give thanks and
sing,
And triumph evermore!

2The mighty Savior reigns,
The God of truth and love;
When he himself had purged our
stains,
He took his seat above.

3His kingdom cannot fail;
He rules o'er earth and heaven;
The sovereign keys of death and hell
Into his hands are given.

4He sits at God's right hand,
Till all his foes submit,
And humbly bow to his command,
And fall beneath his feet.

5Rejoice in glorious hope!
Jesus, the Judge, shall come,
And take his waiting servants up
To their eternal home.
